Level 1

Start by cutting normal trees by general store in Lumbridge. Go right into the forest full of goblins and there are a bunch of normal trees. This is good to start because you can cut the normal logs and bank them in the castle's bank or simply sell them at the general store near by.

Level 15

Start to cut oak logs in the same place as normal logs (Lumbridge forest) and do the same with the logs (bank or sell).
This should seem to be a bit faster than cutting normal logs as you get more than 1 log per tree. :)

Level 30

(Yay!) At level 30 you can start to cut willows! These are great all the way to 99 (if you choose). There are a few places you can cut willow logs:

1) Draynor village || Pros: quite a few trees and the bank is only steps away! Cons: There are often a lot of people here and sometimes that can result in slower EXP.

2) Catherby || Pros: Usually not very populated and enough trees for the usually 1-2 people that are there. Cons: Only sometimes it gets to populated (4+ people).

3) Barbarian Outpost || Pros: Quite a few trees and a close bank. Cons: Only a deposit box, meaning you can't take out any items, only deposit. It also can get crowded sometimes.

4) Rimmington || Pros: Almost never anyone there, very close bank, and a lot of trees to cut! Cons: Requires the completion of "Rocking Out" which is a fairly high level quest.

5) Seers Village || Pros: Lots of trees, not very populated. Cons: Not too far, but farther away from a bank than most spots.

Level 35

You can either keep on cutting willows or switch to teak logs which are the fastest EXP. It is advised to power cut teaks (just drop the logs) as they are all far away from a bank).

1) Ape Atol || Pros: Not many people there, 3 trees. Cons: Have to have a monkey gree gree and be completed "Monkey Madness" quest.

2) Tai Bwo Wannai || Pros: many trees, not populated. Cons: If you want to bank the logs (send in a parcel near by) you need to use a lot of trading sticks.

3) (far) southwest of Castle Wars || Pros: No one there ever, peaceful. Cons: Far from the bank (CW) and only 1 tree.

I am going to suggest that you stick with willow or teak to 60+. Maples are pointless; they are slow to cut and 100 EXP each.

Level 60

I suggest to keep on cutting willow or teak before cutting yew because these are very slow at level 60.
If you choose to cut yew trees though cut them at:

1) behind Varrock Palace || Pros: Close to the G.E. (bank), 3 trees. Cons: Can get crowded.

2) Catherby || Pros: A lot of trees, people there to talk to. Cons: Kind of farther from a bank.

3) Seers Village || Pros: Close to a bank. Cons: Can get crowded easily and only 3 trees to share.

4) Rmmington || Pros: No one there, close to bank (if quest complete). Cons: Suggested completion of "Enlighted Journey". (Fly from CW to Crafting Guild, run south to trees. Use ring of dueling to bank back at CW)

Level 75

DO NOT CUT MAGIC TREES! Keep cutting yew or teak/willow. Magic trees are very, very slow and not worth it.

I'm not even going to suggest the places to cut at this level! O_O

Level 90

This is a great time to start cutting yew. They get a lot faster when you hit 90. Also it is good to stay with willow/teak.

Level 95+

After this you can head to the magic trees if you want SLOW EXP but MONEY. Locations:

1) south of Seers Village || Forest Place: Pros: 3 trees, closer to a bank. Cons: Can get crowded. <> Outside Tower: Pros: 4 trees. Cons: Most popular place.

2) Lletya || Pros: 3 trees, not every crowded, can get to a bank quickly with elf crystal. Cons: Have to complete "Roving Elves" which also includes many quests before.

My Notes: I suggest that willow/teak should be done to 99 if you just want the cape. Yew is good for money, and finishing off with magic can add in a few M gold.

My favorite places are Catherby yews/willows, Draynor Village willows, Ape Atol teak and Lletya magic.

List of EXP included in this guide:

Normal tree: 25
Oak: 37.5
Willow: 67.5
Teak: 85
Yew: 175
Magic: 250

Good luck!

Looks like a good guide.
You could possibly add a power leveling portion on the fastest possible way to get to 99

I kept saying in the guide that I suggest doing willow/teak and dropping teak to get the fastest exp.

Thanks for you comment, and if you mean something else than what I have please reply.

AND GOOD LUCK ON 99 STRENGTH!

4) Rimmington || Pros: Almost never anyone there, very close bank

um i do not know if there is a close bank
but i do know it is close by a general store
which on f2p this would be one of the best places to cut willows

yeah but it would be nice to include the general store for people who have not done the quest or they are f2p

Ivey is definitely fastest. Love the guide, I personally prefer willows (trained from 30-70) because of close banks for minimal profits and quick chopping.
