Error when trying to sign up for SKOTM?

Hey,
When I tried to sign up for next month's Defence SKOTM it gave me this error "We regretfully inform you that you were unable to sign up for this SKOTM because your account does not appear on the highscores." even though my account does in fact appear on the RuneScape highscores. Is there some other problem going on?

I would say try again today. The API for highscore requests has been finicky of late.

Let me know if nothing happens.
