Balance was the apparent reason for jagex creating the evolution of combat, but where is the balance?
Sure the combat triangle might be more balanced but when you nerf powerful weapons to the point that they are useless and add insane and unreasonable buffs to others how does that balance the game? It doesn't.

Are you really this braindead? Do you ever plan on listening to anyone instead of ignoring all of your players who have been playing for YEARS?
Do you really think this is going to end well Jagex, do you really think Runescape is going to survive this update? If you don't change your ******* attitude it sure **** won't.

The guy in the first video has a very soothing voice...

But really, people need to relax. It's in BETA for a reason. They are tinkering with things and will make changes. They have already made huge changes, and those aren't going to stop.

I stopped watching the second video after he used American ownership as some sort of reason for the beta updates, and then didn't back that up with any sort of evidence supporting it.

Well, most of what has been coming out of the update craptube was caused by the investors, the evolution of combat was likely another moneygrab attempt to get more subscribers by trying to make runescape into some ******* american wow clone.

The fact remains that Jagex is a British company.
Also, I am beginning to think you are completely unable to understand, or you refuse to understand, what a beta is.

The problem is they slap in content without thinking about it or it's stats at ALL they just slap numbers on things and say, meh good enough. They need to put atleast SOME thought into it.

I think it's important to remember that Runescape isn't just a static game that is published and boxed as a finished product. It is constantly pumping out new content every week. Sometimes, this content has a negative or unseen affect on another piece of content. Items become obsolete, skills become more or less useful, and previously efficient or profitable training methods become not so. It's the nature of the beast. Week by week, the game has unforeseen impacts caused by updates. Should Jagex avoid doing this unnecessarily and have a special team devoted to making sure things stay as balanced as possible? Absolutely yes. Is it realistic to expect new content each week without ruining previous content? Absolutely not.

Runescape itself can be seen as constantly in beta, because it will never be "finished" or "complete". Nothing is off limits and they can and do make changes to content that's existed for years. For example, the farmer to look after your cactus released last week. Long overdue, but they never stop looking for ways to improve existing things ingame. I think they could definitely work on improving existing content more, but when you have such a small window like a week to work on things, it can take some time to take care of less priority things. With the beta, they have the luxury of throwing something in that isn't perfect, knowing that it needs to be improved. Sometimes they are WANTING the community to say it isn't right, as then they know exactly how to fix it. Don't think that they would go through all the trouble to do this, and then purposely mess things up. As Shane said in the last podcast, if you don't like something the best thing to do is TELL THEM and then OFFER IDEAS TO IMPROVE whatever it is. This is what betas are for.
