I think you guys did a great job of showing that Divination has some great points to it and that the things you can make can be useful. I think everyone can agree that we'd like to see more utility of it, but it does have good promise.
You guys mentioned the lore aspect of it, and yes, I think they could have done more with this, but remember that the Battle of Lumbridge and the entire God War II aspect of the game may not last forever. Skills aren't going to be removed and if it referenced old content, that wouldn't be very good. There's some speculation that Divination and the new skill may have the purpose of restoring Guthix or another force of balance, which is an interesting concept. We'll just have to see.

So you don't think there will ever be a time where the development team at Jagex release a "final quest" where everything pretty much ends, you are faced with a credits screen, and then you can start again playing "Runescape+", where you can put your skills and experience towards permanent extra benefits for your new character?
